    VS-1 antenna/ reciever ideas

Working on a VS-1 electric and I am using Spektrum DX3 radio. I was wondering what you guys have done with the receiver since the antenna is way short
Where have you exited the wire to get the most antenna outside the hull and cowl?

mine looks slightly different but I think it will work if I velcro the reciever right under the antenna tube. I was thinking my antenna was 5 inches long but I just measured it and they are 7.5 long
      Thanks

wish mine was that long, just measured it and its only 3 inches long.
from the look of the picture i posted i dont think the owner actaully puts it threw the hatch, just lays down over the front.

Might be worth looking at Spektrum's marine receiver, its got two aerials!

Remember it is only the last 1/2" that is the antenna.

I used the marine receiver in my tunnel hull and have one of the antenna's vertical under the cowl and the other horizontal under the cowl. Both are outside of the radio box. The vertical one is in a little piece of stiff antenna tube and the horizontal one is in some fuel tubing running along the top of the radio box.

No radio issues and no antennas sticking out of the boat.

I have the older radio don't think the new marine receiver will even work with it.
