    Lehner motor recommendations

    Hello team.
I have an H1 hydro from Ecomaster, modified quite a bit.
    I currently have a Neu 1117 Motor, 29 mm x 71.5mm, 1872 KV, running on 6s with a Seaking Pro 120 A esc.
I looking to upgrade to a LMT motor, but looking for guidance.
I would like to go up in KV , 2000-2200, but I know LMT motors are characterized under loads which is different than Neu
What the most powerful LMT motor I can fin in this space? What KV should I get?
I'm not racing, but currently enjoy doing 70 MPH laps. 75 or more would be fun.
    Larry

Larry, PM Tyler Garrard (RaceMechaniX) about your LMT needs. Few know more about that line than him, and he's also the US distributor.

      A Lehner for a H1 would normally be a 1530 or 1535 with about 3500Kv on 3s for 55-60mph for 6 minutes.

Lehners are great, and are arguably an upgrade from a Neu especially a new Neu, I doubt that many people would see the upgrade as worth the money if they had a Neu already.

I think that Neu should get you where you want to go, and I'd look elsewhere for your first upgrades, props are what makes electrics produce power. I would guess you are using fairly low capacity batteries so if they are not very good ones your voltage sag may be extreme supplying enough power, and while I do think it is possible with a 120a ESC given that it's a 3s boat on 6s, I would be a lot more comfortable using a better ESC, if not be super carefully about reducing runtime and checking for heat as you prop up.

Paul, the batteries are up to the task.
In using SMC HCL HV, 75 C batteries, which tested out t top in the Lipo Load testing

the only difference is capacity, which is really just the cell electrode area.
Im sure the chemistry is the same between my 2800 mah 6s pack and the 5300 mah in the test.

As for the ESC, Im open to suggestions.
The ESC does hit thermal protection, but I think I figured out that cooling routing issue.
The issue is getting one that fits the tight space : 87 x 38 x 14. I can make blocks rigid foam to check fit.
The Tenhock 150A might fit, but is it any better than the Seaking 120?
If I get creative, I may be able to mod the Castle Mamba X for water cooling, it may fit on its side. Would that be any better though?
