    TP-5680 1070kV 3Y THOUGHTS

Considering running twin TP-5680 1070kV 3Y motors in my MHZ 1380 (54.33") Mystic ARTR on 12S per motor. Does this sound like a pretty sufficient motor choice when coupled with ZTW Seal 300A ESC's and 53mm 1.9P 3-Blade props? Input is greatly appreciated! Looking for upper 90's-100+

That may be an excessive Kv for 12S, loaded rpm will be in excess of 40,000 rpm. With the larger props appropriate for that motor, speeds could be well in excess of 100 mph. For 90-100 mph choose a lower Kv, you will have a more versatile boat with longer run times and lower temperatures, but still capable of triple digits with a prop change.

Does a 800kV 4Y seem more reasonable? and bump the prop up to 57 or 62?

Definitely have to agree with Jay on KV - 800kv on 12s would suit you much better . Not familiar with Cats and props so someone else with similar setup hopefully will chime in .

          850 kV motors (12S) is a maximum RPM for a Mystic 138.

          A twin 2 x 10S setup is better for the 138cm, 1000 - 1050kV motors.
