    rotor replacements?

hey guys I recently had a spectacular crash with my voracity. result is a bent motor shaft.
where can I get a replacement rotor? its for the dynamite 4082 motor that came stock.

if a replacement rotor is not an option, what replacement motor would you recommend?
I want to have same speeds or better without upgrading esc(120amp) if possible.

    thanks

No spare parts available. The stock motor is a 4082 1650kV 6 pole motor. You can replace it with something like a leopard or TP power. I would stick with the same kV range. Depending on what version of the hull you have you may have to modify the forward portion of the motor mount if you use a motor with a longer can. The latest hull revision had a brace that ran across the width of the hull, right behind the rear end bell of the stock motor. I know at least one person on this forum who modified that to be able to install a longer motor, so it's definitely doable.

      thanks mate.
i had a look at some TP motors. the 4050 1700kv and the 4060 1650kv.
the cost isnt much different. do you think its worth getting the 4060? my voracity does have the brace behind the motor but im happy to modify it if the gain is there.

or is leopard a better way to go?

Ask a machine shop if they can straighten it.

You just will not get it perfectly straight again.

I tried straightening it myself but didn’t turn out great. I’m gonna cop it and just buy a new motor.
Any suggestions on the TP 4050 or 4060?

I saw on Ebay a seller offering different TPPower rotors for about $60. Want a link?

Such a deal. I can get a replacement rotor for me 4050 for $90 shipped. I can buy the whole motor from OSE for $120

The best advice would be to just replace the motor. There are many differences between motors so unless you can get a factory replacement rotor for the dynamite can, replace the whole motor. You have a number of options if you look around.
