    Max watts from a Castle 1415 1Y

What have some of you guys been able to get out of this motor in a hydro on 4S for racing P-Hydro?

What do you think it can withstand continuously for a race up to 8 laps?

My Castle 1415/1Y (not exactly the same motor) averages 100 amps logged for 6 laps plus mill on 4S in my JAE 21. Peak amps were 125. For 7 laps it uses 2400 mAh. 12 second lap times with top speeds in the upper 70s. I'm sure that a Neu would handle a lot more than that, but how much do you need?

Several of us have run that motor in Raptor P-hydro's with very consistent results. We are pushing them a little harder to 125A average and about 150A peak. Six laps plus the mill consume 2600-3000mAh.
I would not go any more aggressive than 120A. They are very good motors for 1P hydro set-ups. Heavier hydro's will want a little more motor due to cooling.

So do you think this motor is a tad small for an ML RSX310 rigger? I haven't started it yet but I think it's bigger and heavier than the Jae you guys are using, yes, no?

I was actually talking about the Castle 1Y not the NEU.

Yes, I would say you probably want the 1515 size motor for better heat capacity. There is also more room in the ML rigger.

Thank you. I was going to try a new Scorpion I have first. It's capable of almost 2500 watts continuous. If it's not up to the job there are proven TP motors etc... I have a 1515 castle too.

            All 2200kv.

Brian, do you think that this motor is too little for my ML GRX310? I'm having a hard time picking a motor for it and I would like to run 1P of whatever Mah needed.

                  Just staring the framing.

                  It's possibly heavier than a Jae 21.

I'd look at something larger. I'd run a larger motor in P hydro if I wasn't trying to use my existing raptor..

Thanks Brian. I’ll be trying a Neu 1415 in my raptor with on of your 1817’s.
