Neu 1515 2200kv on 2s

Hi all,

Anyone run a Neu 1515 2200kv 1Y on 2 2sp parallel for 10,000 mah? I have a 30" mono that I run on 4s 2- 2sp with a m440, 180a esc and would like to get some more run time for the younger ones.

Speed of course would be cut in half but I bet run time would rock. Can the ESC do 2s? I doubt amps would be any concern but I would experiment first and make sure the cooling does flow water. I have a scale runabout that has good cooling at full throttle but anything less there is nothing. I installed a small pump to compensate.

Hobbywing lists the 180a as being good for 2-6s. Good point on the water pickup. What about the voltage, is 7.6 - 8.4v enough to run everything? Would it be bad for the motor? I don't want to bother making parallel adapters if it's not a good idea, just a thought if anyone has done it successfully let me know.

Nah, you certainly not harming anything. The runabout I mentioned is running 2s2p thru a 120 ESC and 1600kv outrinner. Outrunner only gets barely warm with the GF running it. BTW it runs like 45mins
