    Decisions Decisions... 4s, 5s, 1750kv, 2000kv, Popeye, Mean Machine 2

So... I'm wracking my brain and once I think I have it figured out, I second guess myself. All for sport running, what would the experts do???

The popeye will be in the water next weekend, MM is a build.

    Popeye:
I want this one fast, 4 min of runtime without running it too close to the edge. Is 37,000 rpm too much?
    5s 5000 Rev
    Turnigy 180 V2 esc
    Leo 4074 2000kv
    X440?

    Mean Machine:
I want this to be reliable, 7-8 min run time, low to mid 50s preferred, this will be what I use to run with my daughters Miss Geico. Is 25,900 rpms to low?
    4s 5000 Revo in parallel
    Seaking 180a V2 esc
    Leo 4074 1750kv-X2
    X642?

Should I run the popeye with the 1750kv on 5s and use the 2000kv in the MM on 4s2p?

Oh, and I have Leo 4074 2200kv in the drawer that could be used also...

On the Popeye, or any boat. Runtime current is as follows:

60/4*5=75A. 60 is sixty minutes, from the battery rating, which is 5000mA which really is 5 amps. The 4 is your desired runtime. So, you can only pull 75A from the battery, averaged out over the course of the run. On 5s, that's not easy with the hardware you have shown. It will probably be higher current.

You'll probably have to increase the rating of the battery....

I think you will be closer to 115A on that Popeye setup. You'll need about 7500mAH to hit your mark.

Be careful having a 5000 mah does not mean you should discharge a full 5000 mah. That battery will be destroy very fast. Also the 1750kv would be better for 5s. And the 2000 for 4s. The 2000kv, the 642 and 4s would be decent, probably high 40's to 50. The 1750kv and a 642 on 4s should be fast and reliable, a good setup for a balance of good speed and good runtime but not 50plus, 5s with the 1750 and the 642 should give 50 plus. The runtime will be around 25 percent shorter than a 4s off similar capacity.
