TP 5670 1050Kv 3Y What ESC to Run

I'm looking for a good ESC to run a TP5670 1050Kv 3Y motor. I'll be running a pair of these motors to power a 53" Central Marine CRC5000 Hull (Catamaran). I'll most likely be running each motor on 8-10S. Are there any good recommendations for a High Quality ESC that isn't going to burn out on me?

    Here are the Motor Specs:
    Watts continuous: 6,500
    Watts max: 12,000
    Poles: 6

running this motor on 8s would put things right around 219Amp (6500W / 29.6V = 219.5Amps) with peak being (12,000W / 29.6V = 405Amps) it's the peak that bothers me. The amp draw gets lower with higher voltage so 10S would bring those numbers down to 175 continuous & 324 peak amps.

If anyone has suggestions / ideas that would be great.

    Thanks!

ESC manufacturers rate the ESC on continuous amps. Burst/peak are different and seldom last more than 1/10 of a second. However some rate their burst based on 5seconds(MGM and Seaking). Sea kings 150 are 150 with a 1000 amp burst or something. I think a set of Etti HV 220's would do the job for you(get the cap banks). Just prop it well according to your needs. I am hoping you are just running and looking for a good time as that hull is NOT a SAW boat.
Another would be the Swordfish 240 or 300.

Etti hv 220 or swordfish which would be better. I've read good and bad things about the swordfish esc's.. I haven't seen much on the etti though.

      Input appreciated.
      Thanks

The Etti's are kind of a pain to program but instructions are there and it is just the old pull Tx trigger to program. I have had failures with assorted V2 Swords. But my Etti's have been running in my Saw boat for 4 years. Oh and the Etti's are a little jumpy off the line. You can adjust expo to help with that.

I think I am going to try the etti 220hv's. I seem to find less bad things about them compared to the swordfish.

And this will be a fun run type boat. Maybe make some speed passes once in a while but nothing crazy like a saw boat.

What type of motor are you running on your etti 220hv meangenesracing?

I'm almost having second thoughts about the ETTI 220HV running the TP5670 1050Kv 3Y motor. The motor is 6500Watts constant on 10S that puts me right around 175 Amps not adding in prop/drag/ or anything like that.

                  Thoughts?

The motor is not likely to run 6500 watts contant. That is just what the motor is designed to do safely. It takes a boat a lot to get up on plane but once there it is an easy glide, ok maybe an easier glide.

If you are going to push that amp rating tho, the Fler 400 is a GOOD ESC. My pal Lonewolf has a couple and I can't believe what they've been through.

Try a pair of Flier 300's. I'm gonna try those in my big cat project. The motors are almost the same specs as yours. I've heard nothing but good things with Flier esc's. Not the case with Swordfish. I read about many of them quitting.
