    HELP NEEDED - 500-600W Outrunner Search - 3500KV??

Hey guys, I need some help.

I have a "unique" project I'm tinkering on and I'm having trouble finding a motor.

I need to find an outrunner motor, that is similar in power output to something like a Neu 1509 1Y and around 3500-4000KV. Might even be able to deal with as low as 3200KV or so. Lower than that won't work.

Seems outrunners in this size are all lower, <1500KV.

Kind of a shot in the dark here, but if you happen to know of a source, I'm interested. Please post the information here.

    Thanks!

    Too much or too little?

The Hobbyking version is about $20.

I don't thing I've seen any more than 2200kv from a 36mm outrunner so the 25mm is the closest thing.

I have one of these still in the factory df unit as I upgraded my jet from the get go

At Motion RC we carry the largest selection of electric and gas powered radio control (RC) planes, boats, buggies, cars, helicopters, tanks, trucks, and much more. We also offer a huge selection of lipo batteries, chargers, ESCs, gas engines, motors, radios, and servos. Shop our lowest prices with free shipping.

I believe it pulled around 700 watts on 4s maybe slightly more

The 70mm df out runners are generally 28mm around and the 4s designed units are from 3-3500kv so quite a few out there

In fact what would be perfect is a dons wicked edf motor as I have one brand new in a edf that's new from don and it's 4000kv if I remember correct look on rcg for some is my recommendation under power systems

28mm sized (450) Outrunners are much too small for what I'm looking for. I need something equivalent to a 36mm x 60mm inrunner.

However, it was suggested that perhaps I could buy one of the Scorpion kits and maybe wind my own. Going to look into that option. :)

I was thinking that if you do a 3026 size motor kit you may come close to 3800kv if it's possible. I think the lower the kv the less winds needed but, its been a while since I've read RC Groups scorpion motors thread when some guys were playing with the kits. My assumption is loosely based on the 1900kv version with 1/2 the wire. Just rambling... Lol..
