    New motor gives inconsistent power

    Hi!

I just bought a new motor to my Apparition: a Leopard 3674, 1400kv, 2.5Y (the old one burned so this is a replacement)

When I give throttle the motor gives a short burst - pauses - bursts - pauses and so on. Each burst and pause is about a second each. What is this??? I rechecked the ESC config and its the same as its always been:
    • PWM: 8kHz
    • 2-4 poles
    • Motor timing: 10 degrees

What the bleep is this? I'm puzzled because its the same motor as before, but apparently the ESC doesen't understand that. Or?

    Has someone seen this before?

Back timing to 5 and see what it does, but sounds like something in the esc

What caused the last motor to burn out?...I would also suggest the ESC is toast.

I'm not 100% shure but my guess is that the flexcable didn't have enough room to expand so it got stuck and caused way to high currents in the motor.

        Thanks for your thoughts

Sounds like it's cogging. Likely the Esc is bad. In my experience when a motor fries it takes out the Esc too most of the time.

Resolder the esc plugs, might have a cold solder joint or esdc is bad too.
