I have the leopard 4074 2200kv and 180 amp esc combo from offshore electrics. I plugged it in and tested it and it is spinning the wrong direction for my prop. On my old boat I ran the same prop, and the polarity was right. Can I just switch the outermost wires on the motor/esc connection? Will this throw off the way my boat runs?
Motor spinning wrong direction?

Yup, just swap them around and you will be fine. I always swap the positive and negative wires. Good to go!Pursuit: T-180, TP 4060/1620kv. Genesis: T-180, GoolRC 2000kv. UL-1: Bone stock. MHZ Tsunami: Full tilt SAW project!Comment

Haha, brushless. I guess I should have said "Red and black" wires on the motor/ESC. I'm weird...Pursuit: T-180, TP 4060/1620kv. Genesis: T-180, GoolRC 2000kv. UL-1: Bone stock. MHZ Tsunami: Full tilt SAW project!Comment

Be sure to calibrate it if it is a new setup or if you reversed it on the radio.

Hold full throttle while you plug it in, after the beeps release to neutral.

Yeah set throttle channel to reverse, turn throttle trim all the way up, then calibrate to your esc.
Once that's done, if your motor is spinning the wrong direction, simply swap any two of the motor wires.
Done
Easy
