    Different Motor Shaft Key

I have a very low end RC boat with twin 380's. I am replacing them with Stinger 380 18T... Don't have a lot of options for larger motors, or upgrades, just looking for a little more speed going up to 8.4 batteries.

The guy across the lake has the same boat at wants to race next summer... Obviously I plan on winning the race, with little noticeable changes...

The shaft on the old motors is grooved and had a pressed fit to the plastic coupler... The Stingers have a flattened keyed shaft on one side?

So how do I attach the plastic coupler? Epoxy glue? Need a little help.. Thx

Would there be room on the plastic coupler to install a small grub screw?

This would lock onto the motor shaft. May need a little blue Loctite
