12 AWG Thin wire on 1521 Neu?

Hey guys,

Just received a Neu 1521 1577kv with pretty thin looking 12 AWG silicone wire leads coming from it. Is this right? The 1860kv 1521's I got a few weeks back have *much* heavier leads on them. The thin wires on the Neu's just looked a bit odd is all. Anyone else seen this?

My 1527 1250 kv have those thin silicon wires. A 1521 1577kv I have has some really thin but stiff wires. A 1860kv 1521 I have has short, thick, stiff wires. I dunno....

This is a newly rebuild Neu 1515, look at the wires, totally different than the short ones that were on this motor.

One of the insulation heat shrink is already loose, I got to be careful, I much prefer the old style though...

Hmmmn ok thanks lads Seems that some motors have these style leads now then. The 1860's were made just 2 or so months back - according to the build date on the boxes. So I was a bit surprised to see the 1577 with the small short silicone leads. Guess the proof will be in the pudding when I run it. Never would have thought a 1527 would sport thin leads though either......

I have two 1860kv 1521's. The older one has short tick wires. Newer one has a little bit longer wires

I've had 3 Neu 1530s, all had 12 gauge soft wires. They worked fine but seemed strange to me, most of the time I'm used to the stiff wires that are part of the winding.
