    motor wind question

I have a revolt 30 with a 120 seaking with the stock motor(1800kv) that is ran on 4s and 5s batteries with a m445 prop. How do I find out the winding of the motor I am trying to set them timing on the seaking. what I have found on the net you need to know the wind of the motor to determine the timing.

    Thanks Zach

If I remember its 11 degree's on the Revolt ESC. I ran back to back tests with the stock ESC and the same one you have. No gain ZIP ZERO NOTHING except it would idle around dead slow if I wanted on 4s. I pulled the 120 out and have run the Revolt ESC forever more. And I another complete Revolt setup in a Mickbees Jet boat 4s maybe be back running this week with video.

the only reason I went with the 120 is so I could run 5s I don't think the stock esc would handle 5s but thank you sir for your help!!!!

Aquacraft does not state the wind rather d ory wind revolt esc set at 11° set your seaking at 12°mike

If there are solder joints inside the rear end cover then it is a "Y" wind. If there are none then it is a "D" wind. The closest you can get with a Seaking 120 esc is 11.25* which should be fine and as close to the stock esc.

I know the 2030kv AQ motor is a "Y" wind but, since I have not broken an 1800kv AQ motor, I don't know what is inside?

Darin Jordan will know, you might be able to chime in on the P-Spec motor thread bouncing around right now to find out. It may even be in there somewhere already. I'm sure it has been published though.

These are Seakings ONLY timing settings: Timing (0.00/3.75/7.50/11.25/15.00/18.75/22.50/26.25)

Yup my mistake thanks Ray 11.25, thats what i set min e at and thanks for the way to check the d,y on the endbell.
Will e helpfull in the future for un known winds. Will check my 1800kv at home against my 2030 in my boat.
thinking it is a y wind since the parameters on the speed control can't be change.
