So has anyone used this motor? I'm curious as to what your opinions are on this motor. Would it be alright for a jetdrive 36" boat?

What voltage? What is the rpm range of the jet drive? Out runners are usually not used on jet drives due to rpm limits.

If you are talking about the blue watercooled outrunners they just got recently, look closely at the wattage and/or the max amp ratings as they are kinda low. HK does ell some excellent outrunners for helis that I have used in boats but, I still prefer inrunners.

60 amps and less than 1000watts Max. http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...ner_Motor.html

I would go for this instead: http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...ess_Motor.html

You'll be far better off IMO.

Seems like a limited amount of power for a 36" jet boat. Jets are far less efficient and a 36 mm motor would be small for a prop drive in that hull.

I think i will still try this motor anyway but i'm looking for a 40mm jet drive. Even though the KMB 28mm is rated for this size boat, i still think it will be underpowered. Here's what i wish to accomplish:

I'm guessing but, it sounds like he's running a proboat 1500kv motor and 60amp esc.
