Regarding Pro Boat/Dynamite Power System Availability
I've already contacted David Newland regarding this, but since it seems to be "official" now (based on the parts listings on the Horizon Hobby website), I figured I'd better mention it here as well, so people can plan accordingly.
I found out on Tuesday, after I tried to order a couple 1800's, that Pro Boat/Dynamite (Horizon Hobby) has made the decision to change manufacturers for their marine power systems.
As a result, they are no longer going to be stocking the DYNM3835 (1500KV) and DYNM3830 (1800KV) motors that are currently listed on the P-Ltd approved motor list.
The 1800KV has already been dropped from the Horizon Hobby site and is no longer available. The 1500KV is still shown on the listing of Dynamite Surface motors, but it's shown as "currently on back-order". I'm checking to see if another batch are actually coming, or if they just haven't removed it from the site yet.
I'm not clear, at this point, on what motor(s) they are going to replace these with. When I know, I imagine you will know as well, as future RTR offerings from Pro Boat hit the market.
