    Motor mount

Can someone please help me find the right motor mount. Im making a fe out of a fresh Blackjack 26 ss nitro hull. It will be a gift for fathers day. I got my dad into fe with my spartan. Before I could figure out it was a lame boat he bought a new one. Now I want to give him another better boat. I have a motley crew and would like to race him. Spartan races and cat races. =)
Anyways... I need a motor mount, motor, and esc. What electronics AND mount should I use. Im more worried about the mount as ive had a heck of a time trying to figure out what is best. Please help.

    Thanks

    Hmm....
Is it the original BJ 26? if so, it had a steerable out drive?
The BL version was far from ideal: many people ditched the out drive and converted to a regular strut, also note that many believed the turn fins didn't do much, I bought a used one ( with strut) and took the turn fins off. The boat has to be slowed down for a turn or it will flip. Some did modification to the last two steps of the sponson and noted the improvement.
I have the Proboat 1800kv motor with their ESC, basically a transplant of their Mystic Catamaran power plant. It is a fun boat to zoom zoom around.
On the nitro version there is wood stringers, and a picture would be nice for us to see.
I tried to delete these meaningless pictures but much to my dismay I found my efforts to be futile.

Too many boats, not enough time...

My Bad: SS version has a strut, that's good news! It would be nice to see how the inside is w/o the nitro engine.

If it were me, w/o seeing pics, I would run the,, Etti-ho10 adjustable motor moun available here at OSE.
Kintec also has a nice fully adjustable motor mount, for 540 sized motors. for a power system I would run a reliable Aquacraft 3656 2030kv motor, with a 120A ESC on 4s power. For a great prop you can't beat the m445 for a 26"-30" cat.

Thanks for the reminder about the steerable outdrive !model. This is probable the typical pro-boat layout. Their r&d is top notch.
