Motor ring to suit a 3974 motor????

Hi.

Can anyone help me find a motor ring for a 39mm Dia motor please.

Or can I file the ends of a 40mm ring???

Any advice would be appreciated.

Several ways to skin that cat. Make the can bigger, just in the area of the bracket. Large (cell size) shrink wrap. Electrical tape or a simple rubber wide rubber band.

Could make a nice shim out of a pop or beer can. Will allow heat transfer and won't act like a layer of insulation.
