    6s motor for a Rico 31"

I have been running a TP 4050 1450KV motor (4082) on 6s1p 5000mAh but thinking of changing to a smaller lighter setup
it feels very heavy on this setup.
Do you think the new TP3640L 1570kv would be a good move? using 6s1p 4000mAh or is a 3674 motor to small for the Rico?
looking for around 55mph and 4/5 minutes running.

I ran a 3674 Medusa (2200) kv in mine for a couple runs. It really isnt quite enough. I mean, it works, but youre not gonna be happy with it. Cant prop well enough without overheating things. May work a tad better at 6s with the lower kv. I currently run a Cheapo T-600 outrunner at 1400kv on 6s1p (5000 mah) And it hauls very well while maintaining good runtime. The motor gets HOT! However, it's been holding up well for over a year. No cooling on the mount either.

On another note.. Ive ran 5s2p (10,000mah) and a castle 1518 1600kv in that boat. Heavy? YUP. But still handled excellent and was VERY fast!

Rico 31 is really a 4S boat I would run a NEU 1521/1.5d on 4s 2p. I built one of these and it ran very well on this setup.

Yeah, for racing its a 4s hull. She can take more speed than that though. I've had over 10 different setups in mine. 6s1p is my favorite cell count for performance.

The OP only wants 55 mph, so it is a "low powered" 6S setup . Not a max effort 6S powered boat but a 4S equivalent.

Like I said.. The t-600 works great. Gee.. With all my experience with this hull, you'd think I'd have at least a slightly decent opinion. But hey, I'm not a racer..

Rumdog, you have to much experiance for me with this hull, after all it was your rico video that made me buy one in the first place

T600 1400KV just ordered. big grunting outrunner on its way. so much for a lighter setup lol.
just wished i bought a few when they first came out at HK I think they were around 30 bucks each, and not 60 as they are now.
lucky they have a few in stock at HK in the UK

Matt if you see this im sure this motor would make a nice motor for your hull as well.

Rumdog any pictures of your setup with the t600 in? just hope my hatch stays on!
if i remember right did you have it fixed in a etti motor mount?

Sam, theres a brand new T600 1400kv going on ebay for £25 still in box!!! it ends today i think, i figured it would be too small for my titan 40.

Sam did you order your T600 1400kv from HK UK as they have them at a lower price than all the other warehouses, they have them for $51. I think their normally around $70 from the UK warehouse.

Got one for £35+£7 delivered on eBay but it's coming from HK UK
There was a few more on when I looked but they were much more expensive so grabbed it.
Couldn't see the one for £25 Matt when I was looking earlier must have ended.
