    Water jacket on motor, HELP!

I have to ask for help once again. I have a Neu 1527 motor and water jacket for it (both from ose).

I have tryed to get the water jacket on the motor with no success.

The instructions simply say "oil the o-rings and outside of the can and slide it on". Ya, right.

I have tryed 2 different oils, and a thin grease, it will not go on.

Looks like the end bell is very slightly larger than the can.

Can I take the end bell off, output side of can, or am I just doing something wrong? 4 allens hold the end bell on. Can I take them off without screwing up the motor?
    Is there a better way?

Thanks for your time and help.

Like most tolerance fits may work on this. Throw the motor in your freezer for 20 minutes and warm the cooler with a hair drier

Sometimes one end of the can is rounded. Also put it flat on a table and push or I have even given it a light tap with a mallet. (PUT A PIECE OF WOOD OVER THE COOLER END FIRST BEFORE YOU TAP IT.) BE GENTLE. Post some picks if you can.

Ok, after much searching I found where it is better to use dish soap instead of oil, tryed it, no help.

Then I tead another that suggested removing the endbell (output, shaft side).

Still will not go on. Now I cant get the endbell back on, seems Neu has a trick for that too.

I guess I am just too stupid for this.

Should have stayed with rtrs, looks like I will have to send the motor to Neu to put the endbell back on.

Then I will get rid of this whole thing and stay with my Revolt,

          thanks for your time,

            Sorry guys, l am a dumb a$$.

I have a 1527 motor and ordered a HRC jacket for a 1515motor because I wanted a shorter jacket to fit thr rear motor mount.

The 1515 jacket is slightly smaller in diameter than the 1521/1527 jacket. You wont find deminsions anywhere but that is why I am having trouble. I found a post from Dave at HRC that explained it.

So the fix is, I will order a 1521 jacket and modify a different rear motor mount to fit and get a little better cooling.

Thanks for your time, sorry for my rant,
