    castle 1515 vs leopard 4082

Which motor do you guy think/know is better? Both 2200kv. The leopard is a tad longer but does that make up for the castles better quality? Which do you think would have better power output? Be more efficient? Has anyone compared the two? I have both but haven't been able to compare them yet. I don't have an operable boat at the moment and with it being 32 degrees today....it might be a bit before I can compare them.

The Castle is "better" if you mean higher performance. Several of us have compared them in the same boat, and the Leopard runs hotter and a bit slower. OTOH for most sport uses the difference is probably not important.

You should really look at the TP 4060 as an alternative.

I ran both the black can 1515-1Y and the 4074 in my PT Stealth. I couldn't tell much of a difference, but I wasn't racing it. Both ran well with (2) 4S 5000 packs in parallel. Great set-up with a lot of run time. The NEU is definitely a higher quality motor (billet can w/end bell). Both ends of the motor are attached with screws on the Leopard.

Ill probably just sell the leopard I have. Its the only non castle motor I own. It doesnt even look like its ever been used. Ima keep the 1515 castle in my geico. 1717 in the cheetah. 1512 2650kv in my bling rocket. Looks like I just like to over power stuff. Lol
