    tp motor suggestion?

hey all started another proboat blackjack29 build after buying a damaged hull for next to nothing. in my current blackjack i am running a turnigy sk3 1900 with a seaking 130hv and (2) 3s 5000 hyperions and i love it. now that i have a boat for fun i want a boat that screams since im going to be reinforcing the hull with cf anyway. so back to the topic, i have been searcing for another motor to try and ive heard good things about them so looking to give them a try. i am planning on using a swordfish pro 220 (6s) and was thinking of using the tp4050 motor. now here is my question, should i go with the wye 4y wind which is rated at 1680 kv or should i go with the delta 7d 1730kv? i was thinking of going with the 3y 2220 but i wasnt too sure on how reliable/stable it would be or how difficult it would be to dial in. just looking for some opinions here. thanks

The little Blackjack will not benefit much from twins over a single - just cost more and have twice as many things to break. It really won't matter which motor you use (1680 of 1730), their performance will be virtually identical. Motor size and Kv are the most important parameters. I know the "common knlwledge" is that Ds suck up more amps but extensive tests by some of the advanced airplane guys show no real difference - the Kv is the most important decision point. Yes, boats are not planes but no boater has done anywhere near the testing a few of the plane guys have.

The 2200 Kv motor is for SAWs only, you won't get 5 minutes of run time safely. Prop size will be limited, a little too big and 'poof'. I used a 2200 Kv motor on 6S to set SAW records in the high 80s with a 32" cat, after just two passes the ESC temps were logged over 150*F.
