Price? Performance? Efficiency? Life? What motor and what application?

I ran a leo4074 2200 in a p mono and it ran well....switched to a tp 2200 (don't remember the can size) and ran as well if not faster and stayed cooler for me...my 2 cents worth

I and another club member have done some direct swaps in monos & hydros & we both concluded that the TP motors out perform the Leopards.
After a 5 lap race the motors are cooler, the boat was faster & there was a bit more capacity left in the battery. That's with the same props of course. And over several different runs.
See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

tp has made a few changes to their motors and now they're really putting out some good numbers while not blowing apart. I have only used the 5850 motors quality is better than a leopard 5692. I can say the tp maintained 91% efficiency under load in my boat, making the rated 12,000 watts. temperatures stayed at 125 degrees.

I can't say how the leopard would hold up under similar conditions I never ran high rpm with one. Either motor is good for the money but I'd go TP based on my results and the numbers achieved by others

These motors look good to me. Now if OSE would carry some that would work in my JAE FE 21.....

TP Power sells direct to usa etc... TP Power USA. They have many motors you could want.

Offshore holds some TP 4050 and TP 4060 motors with popular KV, which is another good place to buy the TP motors from.

i just ordered a 4Y custom wound, about 2 weeks on order.
i ordered the OSE water jacket for it.
from what i have been readn' on TP i leaned toward it. all my other boat motors are stock or have sails.
