Hey just got and installed leopard 4082 1600kv using 2x 3 cell 5000 mah 50c. It runs good but it seems like if I let off the throttle and come to a stop for some reason I get now power to motor for about 3 seconds. (Rudder will turn) I don't think it is receiver temps are fine. Sometimes after it stops and starts again the throttle will be real sensative and almost double the power it usually has but will cut itself off after a second or two running like that. All connections are good timing is set to 11.xx. The only thing I could find was 2 of the bullets from motor to esc the shrink wrap was sticking to each other so I don't know if they were arcing through the shrink wrap. I am going to put some electrical tape over them and see if this helps. Is esc bad? It's a aquastar180. X445 prop any advice?

Almost sounds like your LVC is temporarily cutting in. How many minutes are you running, and what voltage is your LVC set at?
My Sprint Cat was experiencing a similar problem this spring with one set of 3s lipos. I would get 5-10 seconds of full throttle speed before the lvc would kick in and cut the power. Turned out I had some weak cells that were failing under load. They were CRC Racing 3s, 40 c, 5300 mah packs. CRC replaced them and the new packs are running great.
BTW, I was using a Leopard 4082, 1600 kv motor with a Sea King 180 v2 controller.Comment
