    What large motor?

in your experiences, what is the best motor?

Proteus 56MM Brushless Motors by SkyRc (3t)
    2028 by castle creations
    56-110 by leopard (780kv)

    both reliability and performance ?

    thanks

The Castle has higher efficiency and quality than the other two. These are reflected in it's price. The 2028 was designed by and royalties paid to Steve Neu. The Proteus and Leopard are simply rip offs of other's designs using lower-quality parts. All three will push a boat around, but then that isn't what you asked.

They are all very similar...4 pole and CLOSE to the same size.
They will likely draw and handle power in this order (from most to least)
      1) Castle
      2) Leopard
      3) Proteus

I have ran all three with good results, but my experience with the Leopards is limited. The Proteus motors are great performers for the price, but they have bullets in the back of the case that take up a little bit of room, so internally they are slightly shorter than the other two motors you listed.

These are all "affordable" motors produced in China. The American made Neu 2230 or German made Lehner 3080 would be a step above all of them.

        Keith,
Great explanation when I need my next motor it will be from Nue. Buying anything today I save if I have to and spend a few more dollars to buy a better part.
