I'm building a DF33 and was wondering if there a rule of thumb in boat building on motor placement? This is the first bare hull build i have done figured i better ask before i epoxy.

Hello,
I have been following your build! Nice work! You are going to love that boat!!! I have the same one. I mounted my motor towards the back of my 33", but don't have rails. I have a 36" DF with rails and mounted the motor in the front. Both times, I made sure my CG was 30% from the transom. They both run awesome. In short, where you mount the motor will dictate where you put the batteries. Good luck!
well im using a ul-1 upgraded flex and where it is puts cg about 30% but im doing it so i have maximum battery location to shift the weight around just didnt want to make a huge mistake but i want weight in the front to try to avoid the blow over

ok just ordered a new .187 cable and a etti motor mount so i should be good now since kintec has my motor mount on backorder the etti will be a better mount anyway
