    Motor mount question

I picked up a 40mm Carbon side plate water cooled mount for a leopard 4074.
Should the rear support ring tighten on the motor can ? Even with the top screw tight, the ring is somewhat loose. I could cut the threaded side of the clamp to allow it to tighten up more.

    Insite appreciated

    Hi there

Yeah ive noticed mine are the same
I ended up sanding where the bolt goes through

you dont wanna clamp down too hard and bend the can though.

bring the motor and the mount to the lake this Saturday and I will show you what to
do with it that does NOT involve cutting, sanding, ect.

kind of have to actually show you what I do to the tail ring.

easiest thing I can say is tilting.

No the easiest thing to say would be shiming. But none of this is a problem either way. The rear ring does not need to be tight at all. It's only function is to offer general support while the front mount holds the rotational and centering positioning. Some guys never use the rear mount at all.

Mine did the same thing. However it is nice and tight on a TP Power 3082...
