It sounds like a good Idea but don't have the required tools to make this happen

Those are pretty neat! I could see them coming in handy to study flow/trapped air,etc..... however I think the standard aluminum sleeves do a better job of soaking heat after running when the water is stagnant (a good thing, I think?). The plastic obviously would not.
