Ul1 motor end play

Running my whip today and it seemed like the motor wasn't reving as high.What i did notice was if you pushed the motor shaft in it would pop back forward when I checked my sons motor it was more like just push and pull and would stay where you put it.Also I run a seaking 120esc and my motor can back about 40 degrees warmer and I used more mah out of the pack we even changes props and again I would be warmer and use more mah's. I guess what I wondering is my motor with about 20 runs on it on its way out?
