well as much i would like to have a bigger esc i had to try out the ul-1 motor in my vac -u - pickle using a proboat 45a esc, i did not have any trouble when using even when the water pickup got jammed with weeds and motor and esc got real hot it was fine. last battery pack i used i did not bring it in to check temps i just let it go running a simulated course i was using a detongued x442, although i would not recommend using a smaller esc than stock this is going to work for me
