I have NEVER seen this happen to a motor!!! Fixable????????

Wow, look how the winding unit turned inside the can of this 5692.

Then I simply pushed it out!!!??????

yikes thats the whole stator that popped out on ya there.they are usually epoxied in but that epoxy would have to be a high heat kind to work at all.was it hot when this happened? I have done this to an old school sv27 motor but just tossed it after..that sux

It never got hot at all.........................so high heat epoxy? This motor should never really get over about 120* or so in the setup.

You might be able to get by with the red locktite cementing the stator in place. Maybe not. What make motor? I wouldnt buy another thats for sure. Looks to me that the maker used everyday heat gun glue.

Thats the red locktite. Should work. It can take a fair amount of heat before decomposing and turning soft permanently.

That looks like the cheap TP's that got sold. You could use the 638 retaining compound that we use for flex shafts.I think it is good to 250 celsius.Probably have to move pretty quick with it though.

J-B Welds would be a very good epoxy for heat and cold,
My buddy uses it on engine heads and blocks to.

Yeah, but JB weld is too thick for this application.

648 would be the strongest in the retainer series. Kinda makes you wonder with those cheap motors imagine spinning a 40k rpm and coming apart inside hull aucchh.

MG Chemical has a high temp epoxy
                        http://www.mgchemicals.com/products/832ht.html

Over 500 F temp resistance, high strength. Problem is you need to buy 8oz! And probably never use it again, although it is great for potting electronics that see high temps. Probably cost what the motor is worth!
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Well now I forget how far the darn thing was pushed into the can.............It doesnt have a ridge inside to push it to...............I guess I can put it back together then take off one end and mark a line with a sharpie.
