You are right on the rpm areas you state to run longer periods for sport running & racing where you want things to be a bit more relaiable if thats possible. The very high rpm should only really be attempted by more experienced boaters that understand their taking a chance & fully understand the pitfalls rather than newbies that want the fastest boat on the planet. All of the very high rpm boats are either SAW running boats or someone that realises that their just very short run times that are measured in seconds flat out the come in.
