32,560 rpm. If you want to run 6s, buy 5 of these motors, so you have a spare for when each cooks.

I see this question often. Its normally because of the You Tube videos. Sure there are guys running the 2200kv motor on 6s. Lots of them are also running HV esc's. Not because they need a HV esc for the HV, but because the esc's are building so much heat they need the larger mass esc's.

      BUT

This is how I think of it.

You can run 1000 horse power in a Chevy 454 or 400 horsepower. 1000 is obviously going to be faster, but come with many reliability problems.

My object when I go to the pond is relaxation, blowing stuff up on Sundays is not in that equation, so I use 4s.

I lived this question. When I first started I had not fully grasped the whole, volts, amps, heat, rpm, prop equation. I kept having people warning that it would blow up. Guess What. It blew up. A LOT. It was a very expensive learning curve. I think it was two motors and a couple of esc's later before I finally started to really "get it". Now I am going into year 3 on some esc's and some motors with no failures in a long time with speeds in the 55 - 65 range on hydro's and mono's. Knock on Wood.

One thing that helped put it all together for me was the Eagle Tree Datalogger. I could finally see the speed, amps, volts, heat and start to understand the relationship to prop size etc. I remember being shocked at the high amp draw as the boat is excellerating vs. when it reaches its top end speed. That seem very obvious now, but back then it was not. There are many ways to learn, learning by mistake teaches the lesson, but it does get quite expensive. Happy Boating.

This or any instrument that can register the amp draw to me is a must. Guessing can end up costing lots of money.
