I know Steve has awesome service, but I doubt you could send a motor back to him after a year for something minor and have it only cost $50 for repairs and end up with a new rotor as well as bearings. OSE doesn't manufacturer motors so I highly doubt they will stand behind a Leopard motor the way Neu will stand behind theirs. No offense, Steve. Please let me know if I'm wrong.

I haven't found a performance difference. I've put 300+ amp bursts through the Castle 1512 and 1515 motors. The 1415 has seen 275 amps with no ill effects. I wish I could get them without fins and in a few other winds.

I have several of each..................even had a Neu and a Leopard in the same hull..........................didnt even notice a difference**. I'm not wowed over the Neu motors, dont get me wrong, they are great quality and run cool, but i cant see paying three times as much for something possibly 10% better. I have a 4074 Keda from OSE that i think is a great motor too(leopard clone)

** - i have never "timed" runs in a comparison etc................... just sport racing with friends.

I ran 6S at 250+ amps through my Castle 1515/1Y in LA for over 30 passes - high speeds and no damage to the motor.

Awesome, I have a few of each, castle and neu, the price of castles in the smaller sizes to what you can pick up neu's for at times isn't a huge gap, so I got some neu's just in case the cc's weren't up to the task, but it sounds like they are on par

I'm sure as a loyal reseller of neu motors if you had the same problem you would send it to steve, steve would send it to NEU, and you would get the same outcome just with a middle man (who would absorb the freight cost anyway). Plus he usually has a lot of motors in stock

I think these work. Leopards seem to use the same bearings as Castle Neu, at-least they look the same
