Leopard 4082 Motor and X645 Prop. What KV motor should I buy.

For me I prefer higher Kv for better top speed, mostly running on 4s. I have heard the 4082 can spin a big prop without breaking a sweat. What KV would my X645 work best on?
Will be using a 180 Seaking Esc with it. In a DF Cyberstorm 32".
    Thanks

I'd suggest either 2000 or 2200 Kv. They could give speeds in the mid/upper 50s without drawing too many amps. BTW I'd use an m645 if you don't have the prop yet.

Thanks, I do have a X645 balanced, sharpened and polished as spare so was thinking of using that. It created to many amps in my pursuit with a 4074 motor, was hoping the 82 would be able to handle it. But now you say it, I will get hold of a M645 as well.

The 4082 is a more powerfull motor than the 4074 & will take the larger props.

I'd go with the 2000kv for the 645 prop.

Tim, you will have to come to Florida for "spring training" and get your DF set up for next summer running. BG

I would love that. Been drizzly and cold here all day, not suitable boating weather, hows the weather there?
