Jae 21 Motor Suggestions

Last time out I smoked the ESC due to a disconnect of the water cooling so I'm a little leery of the motor (UL-1 2030kv) since it overheated. First is there any way to test it? I have a kv checker but haven't ever used it. Second, what do you think about this motor and has anyone used one? http://www.hobbypartz.com/96m212-3660-2200kv-11t.html

I also have a Eric Bourlet JAE 21 glass rigger that the first run out I burned up the 2030 ammo motor and the 120 amp ESC in short order. I am planning on utilizing my eagle tree for a short outing with new motor and esc. I will also use a smaller prop that the recommended H7 which I used during the first short outing. I was running on 4S, so that might also be coordination problem between the prop and motor output.
