    timing for leopard 4082 1450kv 4d motor?

i have been runing a leopard 4082 1450kv 4d motor with a turingy 180 esc with a external bec with 2x3s 5000mah 40-50c batterys on 6s. ive been told to run this motor on low timing so i set it to 3.75 and my temps dont get above 65c anywhere i.e motor/ batterys/ leads /esc. i have been getting speeds of 52mph. if i up the timing will i get higher rpm then in turn higher top speed? will increasing timing make the motor and esc and batterys run hotter.?? what is a safe operateing temp?? thanks for any replies...

If it is a "D" wind motor then you should not see a performance improvement by advancing the timing. Heat will go up. I do not like to see more than 65*C on the endbell of a BL motor after a run. Be certain to take the temp immediately after the boat hits the beach or the motor will cool off too much for a meaningful reading.
