I got the 6 cells because their capacity is ok, its a single battery, and they are low profile.

2 of these http://hobbycity.com/hobbyking/store...idProduct=9260 much better then 6s

I wanted two single 5000mah lipos that would fit, hence the low profile 6s,

A single 5000mah 4s/5s would not fit and i did not want to use 4 2500mah lipos.

Its clearly not a good setup as told several times above.

4s is plenty for that motor. Instead of toasting 400 worth of equipment, why not just buy some batts as Diesel has suggested.

Here's the deal of the century......... 5000mah 40c 2s, get 4 and run two sets of series. 25 bucks each..........thats absurdly low for decent batts

Its a 32" cat and nothing special.
did i mention it comes in very cool....lol
                      you must mean x445... not a x455...

.... I think 5s would be the edge while 6s and the 1515 1y's are being done by some of you its not a recommended setup and sooner or later something is gonna let go.... we are talking about 55,440 unloaded rpm with the 2200kv 1y... with the 2,000kv leopard on 6s ( I know we all know our math but its nice to see it) we are still talking.. 50,400 rpm! I myself wouldn't wanna run that motor more then 5s max and it will be plenty fast on 4s as ripfence stated..... buy some more batts for you boat... you can get some turnigys/zippy 2s or 4s packs cheaper then replacing esc's and motors...

On top of that, even though I have never owned a appiration... I have owned plenty of zippy/turnigy packs... and I know their 6s 5000mah packs are HEAVY... and probably are gonna weigh down that hull big time.... probably more then the hull like.... it will still work I am sure, but not "ideal"..... JMHO.... good luck tho, like rip says if you go the 6s 2000kv setup its likely to be real fun for a bit....

Arent the esc under rated on purpose to handle half throttle?

Looks like ill be sticking these in my helicopter then.

Where can I find low profile 5s lipos?
Or am i gonna need to have 4 batteries? 2s and 3s in series?
