Castle- Nue 2200 KV- shaft play

I just recieved a Castle-Nue 2200 kv, and after installing it, I noticed there is some in/out play in the shaft- is this normal?

Use a 5mm thrust bearing and it will take the load off the motor bearings.

I have several and the slight amount is minimal. You could shim it if you feel its too much on your motor but you would need to pull the rotor and then be conservative in the shim estimate. I have .018 end play on one motor and .022 on the other. Not enough to shim IMO. A bearing will suffice when adjusted correctly.
