    Motor mount for castle 1518 5"rails???

    I cant find a motor mount fot my proboat thundercat to fit between the rails! Looks like ose had some but they are discontinued. I want my castle motor to be secure! Help!!

      A thundercat has 4 1/2" spacing between the rails. You could contact Peter Zicha who makes an awesome custom mount.

        I agree Peter would make a nice one.

        Or you can attempt to make one. I made one from some aluminum stock I bought at home depot. You just need a way to bend the ends and a drill.

          O.K., so I,m thinking of scratching the 41/2" rail mount and removing the plywood innards from the thundercat and installing a motor mount that attaches directly to the hull. My concern ia a motor mount beefy enought to hold the weight and withstand the torque of the castle motor. Also I'm a little nervous about what kind of epoxy to use in order to get a strong bond between the hull and mount. I have no experience with fiberglass. Any thoughts on a mount??
