Connecting twins

Building a twin ,using 2-180A ESC,can I just plug in a Y to connect the ESCs to the reciever? Or do I need to cut one red wire that supplies power to the reciever?

Cut one red wire so you don't run two BECs.

And actually cur the wire on the adapter so you can still plug the ESC into the program box or USB.
