    SeaKing 130 vs. 180

OK so why does the 130a version cost more than the 180a?

High voltage version, anti-spark feature--- new product. Don't compare the amp. They are not guidelines for pricing.
Too many boats, not enough time...

Thank You. Does either equire an external BEC (getting different answers about this)? Going to use it on 4S and 5S.

I have only used the 180 up to 4s, yes, I use the BEC feature on that unit. From what I have read, you can get by with 5s, going to the max which is 6s on that unit one needs to disable the BEC and run separate receiver pack. Anyway, this is what people do to avoid failure even though the spec sheet says BEC is rated up to 6s.
From what I read about the 130, there is no built-in BEC feature since it will be used with as a HV ESC by people who use it.

Is this still true? I've read differently with the newer one's with the caps.

I did not consider the newer version, but I will not run 6s with BEC just because I had a bad experience, so I am mainly speaking out of my personal belief.
