Seaking 180 temps?

What is the normal safe range and where's the best spot to check temps with a temp gun? What's too hot?

anything over 150f is too hot. normally you would want to keep it well under 130f, mine never goes above 100f, but the water is cold here!! caps are usually the hottest so a good place to check temps, also the motor/esc wires sepcifically at the connections is a good place to temp, thats the hot spot in all my setups.
