    Seaking 180A in Genesis Cat

I just got the 180A Seaking ESC and a Leopard 4074 2200KV motor.

Can anyone post a photo or tell me the best way to install the ESC in this boat.

Everyway i position it just doesn't seem to sit right.

Should i remove the small wood platform behind the motor ??

    Any suggestions

Fwd of the motor mount. Remove the stock esc wood tray.

Yeah, remove the wood tray and velcro (or whatever) the ESC in place. You can shorten the wires on the ESC motor side if necessary.

I would mount it so the ESC wires are at the nose and come over the ESC towards the motor... like Diesel has his. JMO.

It should fit nicely in front of the motor. The stock mount will hold the Leopard motor decently... assuming that you are using the 40mm tail ring to hold it in place.

If you can't find one, you can always order the mount kit and swap the 36mm and 40mm rings and resell the kit as a 36mm kit. http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...prod=ose-80610

The stock mount and the mount fighter listed are both a lot smaller than the mount I fabed. You should and will have a little more room inside your hull then I did with mine. The 180 is a HELL OF A LOT better then the stock esc.

            Hey FC,

Did you have to move the motor mount to fit that tail ring or is it a drop-in replacement?

            Thanks!

You should be able to just bolt it right up and go. Don't recall the exact dimensions though.
