Binding a 120 swordfish properly

I am about done building my first electric boat. It is to the point that I need to bind the esc to the radio. The instructions say to power the radio on and hold full throttle, then plug in the esc and wait for it to beep 2 or 3 times. After that I guess you let off and it is suppose to beep again. But what happens is that the esc just spins the motor. What am I doing wrong.
Any help would greatly be appreciated

Seems like the ESC is not detecting max throttle travel.

If it's an older radio with a throttle trim knob, make sure it is set in the middle.
On newer radio, set trim in center, and endpoints at 100%.

Also, try reversing the throttle function.
