What ESC for TP 4060 2550 kv 2y motor

So far I've completely burned up 2 Swordfish 220 amp ESC's.
I'm running this in a Zip kits 21fe rigger using 1, 4 cell lipo with 5.5 connectors.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

While the SF220s are not known to be particularly robust, you should not be burning them up in a JAE using the right setup. We need specifics:

    Exact cells used
    Exact prop
    Timing advance in SF
    How long you run
How many mAh you put back in the cells after a run

Guess me first post didn't go through. I'll try again

        Battery 4 cell lipo. 14.8v 4000 45c
        Prop M645
        Timing, Auto
        Never got over 45 seconds.
Have never checked the mah used.

Nothing looks so far out that you should be burning up ESCs in under a minute. Something is definitely wrong somewhere...

          Exactly what pack?
Does the boat jump up on plane immediately?
Are you running mostly at full throttle?
Does it run smoothly or does it hop?
Is there a 3/16" gap between the strut and drive dog?
Does the cable turn smoothly by hand - no binding?
How far is the CG behind the sponsons?
Are you running the rear ski?

            Boat runs smoothly. No hop
There is 1/4" gap between the drive dog and the strut
Cable turns free. Very little resistance
CG is approx. 1/2 to 1 inch behind the sponsons
            Yes, I'm running the ski.

Is the motor new? If it was ever overheated it can take out an ESC quickly. That, or it is defective.

                  The motor is new.
First run lasted about 45 seconds.
The last run lasted less than 30 seconds. Neither time was the motor hot.
Both runs had water coming from the outlet.

You should be able to run for 30 seconds without water cooling and not overheat an ESC. At this point without seeing the boat I have no idea what is wrong. Defective motor or EDCs is one possibility. Wrong setup on the SF could be another but I am not too familiar with them (just seen those of club members granade).

Thanks Fluid. I'm going to try a different motor.
