    bec on swordfish 240 esc

I understand that the swordfish 240 esc does NOT come with a bec in it. I'm not real experienced with electronics and want to be sure that the point of the bec is to provide a safe, usable voltage level to a steering servo??? Please correct me if I'm wrong so myself and other forum members have this info..

    Thanks!!
    Good times had by all!

You could use another name brand that does not require a programer, like Turnigy which has a switch for 5, or 6 volts.
Or a battery with the right voltage, or a battery with a regulator, or a battery with a ubec, I use all of these in boats, and cars.
