Can I run 6s with this setup in an outrigger? Thanks!

The 1515 1Y is really a 4S motor for heat racing and sport running. Anything more and the runs are going to be very short and you could easily blow your esc unless you run a very small prop.

I'm running a 1515 2200kv on 6S (SAW) 642 prop in a very tuned hull and I'm still pulling 260 amps spikes. Mike (Chili) is right your 200 amp esc is not going to last long. what size rigger are you setting up....DJ

PS add a capbank..this will help some

Ok sounds good. I will stick to 4s then. It is a composite JAE 21

I'm running a CC1515 2200 with a T180 in a Jae21 on 5s turning a modified 1450 prop. it runs cool, never gets over 115 degrees. Gps showed my fastest pass last year was 84 mph. And that was with some old Zippys I have. Got some new Giant Power lipos this year but haven't had time to really try and push them yet.

Its in a cat hull..Genesis...I just wanted to give ya an example of amp draws...those T-180 esc's can handle higher amp spikes than my castle 240..we use them in most of our 4-8S set-ups...I would still add capbank....try 4S then 6S, just keep an eye on temps till ya get it tuned....

I got to get one of these JAE riggers....maybe I can get some setup tips from SirBudman....Travis you need a rigger too bro....DJ

Yes the JAE ski let you run more prop pitch ( about .5 inch!) at the same amp draw according to my Eagletree data logger.
It keeps the prop at height in the water at anything over 10 mph.

I dont own a rigger "YET" so I for sure have alot to learn. So far I'm seeing that possibly riggers run more effienctly...look forward to hearing how op makes out with his setup because I have several of those 1515 2200kv motors looking for a home....DJ
