    swordfish 240a HV bec?

hello, as i understand this swordfish 240a HV is a opto esc with no bec, i wonder is it okay too disconnect the red wire in the cable going from esc too receiver and use a 4.8volt nihm 2000mah pack for the receiver?

it is also a extra cable coming from the esc that has a red and black wire that can be connected too a 4.8volt nihm pack for programming the esc with the programcard is it possible too connect this too the 4.8v nihm batteri using it as bec when using the esc for driving boat? if i do that i need too let the red wire from esc too reciever stay in i guess!??

If your ESC dosen't have a BEC to power the receiver & servo, you will need a separate NiCad battery pack. All ESCs need to be connected to the receiver for the ESC to work. The ESC's black/red wires are only for programming the ESC. JIM
