    Are turnigy/hobbyking escs good

They just seem a little too cheap and too good to be true, is there something im missing are they good or not?

Good for a given value of good.

Red Brick (Suppo) are about as cheap as you can get an ESC, they have mixed reviews but I have had great success with them.

Plush are a bit more efficient and about as cheap as you can get a 32bit ESC.

YEP are knock offs of YGEs, are very efficient, and are about the cheapest ESC you can get with asynchronous rectification.

I would say that the 3 ranges above that I have used are very good ESCs at their price point, but that price point is low and they are lacking in meany ease of use and quality of life features that more expensive ESCs have like datalogging and PC/Phone programming, that are very nice to have and you do get with Castle Creations though you spend a lot of money to get it.
